VI · THE LOVERS’ SKETCH

PRIVACY

How loverscard handles your information. Last updated 7 October 2026.

Who is responsible

loverscard.com is run by Jon Dillemuth, a sole trader in Finland (business ID 2642675-5), who is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@loverscard.com.

What this site collects

This is a small information site. It has no user accounts and no comment forms, and its only form is the optional email sign-up. Advertising measurement is described below.

  • Server logs. When you load a page, our hosting provider Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to hello@loverscard.com, we receive your email address and message so we can reply.
  • Email sign-up. If you ask for the free Zodiac Soulmate Profile, we store your email address, your zodiac sign and which link brought you (for example “bio_ig”).
  • Link codes. Links to the seller carry a short campaign code (for example “bio_ig”) that tells us which channel a click came from. It does not identify you.

Cookies and advertising measurement

loverscard uses the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) to measure which Facebook and Instagram ads bring visitors here and how many of them go on to the quiz. The pixel sets cookies and sends Meta your page views and clicks on quiz links, together with technical data such as your IP address and browser.

  • In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, the pixel loads only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner (consent, GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time through “Privacy choices” at the foot of every page.
  • Elsewhere, the pixel loads by default. You can opt out of this “sharing” through “Privacy choices”, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is treated as an opt-out.

When the pixel may run and you arrived from a Meta ad, the quiz link also carries Meta’s click identifier (fbclid) to ClickBank, which reports the checkout visit and any purchase back to Meta so we can see which ads lead to sales. If you decline or opt out, the identifier is not passed on.

To decide which rules apply, the site looks up your country from your IP address at our host; nothing is stored. Your choice is stored in your browser. Meta processes pixel data under its own privacy policy and acts as joint controller for the collection.

Email list

When you sign up, we send you your profile and occasional zodiac and tarot emails, some of which recommend products through affiliate links. We do this on the basis of your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or writing to hello@loverscard.com. We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. The list is run on Systeme.io (France).

Why, and on what legal basis

Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Emails are processed to answer you, which is also a legitimate interest, or a step you asked us to take.

Who else processes data

  • Netlify, Inc. (USA) hosts the site.
  • Systeme.io (France) stores the email list and sends our emails.
  • Forward Email (USA) forwards mail sent to hello@loverscard.com, and Google (Gmail) stores it.

Transfers outside the EU rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

When you click through to the quiz, you leave this site. ClickBank and the seller then handle your data under their own privacy policies, including any purchase you make.

How long data is kept

Server logs are kept only as long as Netlify’s retention period. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your message and then deleted, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, ask us to restrict its use, object to it, or receive it in a portable format. Write to hello@loverscard.com. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or your local authority.

Children

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If the site starts using new tools, such as an email newsletter or advertising measurement, this page will be updated before they go live, with a new date at the top.
